When it comes to eating you might think that a salad or cold soup is the sensible answer but you would be wrong. Believe it or not, the best food to eat if you want to stay cool is a spicy curry.
This is because of an anomaly in the way our body reacts to spicy food. The heat of the spices make you sweat and sweating cools you down.
Think about drinking a long cool drink swimming with ice on a hot day. It gives you an instant feeling of refreshment and does initially cool you down. However, the sensation is short-lived. You have cooled down too quickly and your body compensates by heating up again, dropping you into a vicious circle.
