I understand that many people like a certain dish and will order it every time they visit us.  However, why not try something new?

Here are some suggestions from our menu:

•Begum Bahar – a dish of tender marinated chicken pieces stir fried in a tasty combination of four chili spices, onion, garlic and coriander with mushrooms, aubergines, and a combination of peppers and minced lamb.  A truly wonderful taste sensation.

•Lamb Shatkora – the shaktora fruit is one of the citrus fruit family, sometimes called the Bengali lemon.  We combine it with tender lamb pieces and its sweet and sour flavour is a delight.  Originating in Syhlet, Bangladesh, this medium curry is one to savour.

•King Prawn Delight – our king prawns are first cooked in a charcoal fire oven.  We then cook them again in a sauce of cream and various spices to produce a wonderful mild to medium curry dish.

•Chicken Jaflong – this another favourite dish from Syhlet in Bangladesh.  Our chicken is marinated in a special sauce of peppers, onion and yoghurt and then has a selection of imported spices added, including poppy seeds, ajwain and kalijevah.  To compliment the dish we serve it with chick peas and potatoes.

Fret not if you are not a lover of fish or meat as we also offer a selection of tasty vegetarian main dishes:

•Shabji Jhal Piaz – we are pleased to offer this spicy speciality.  It comprises a selection of mixed vegetables that are cooked with fresh coriander, ginger, onions, green chili, capsicum, garam massala and other spices.

•Garlic Vegetable Balti – Mixed vegetables cooked with garlic and Chef’s special Balti spices and fresh herbs.  Served in a traditional Balti pan.

So next time you visit us do make the effort to try something a little different – you may surprise yourself!
