I was fascinated to learn that curry has overtaken marmite as the food most loved and hated by the UK public.

BBC’s Good Food magazine recently published the results of a survey to establish the foods most liked and hated in Britain.  Curry was announced as the 5th most loved food, knocking chocolate out of the top five.

Food Heaven Top 10

1.Chicken

2.Pasta

3.Cheese

4.Pizza

5.Curry

6.Chocolate

7.Bread

8.Fish

9.Potatoes

10.Steak

Marmite came in 74th most loved incidentally.

As far as the most disliked go, curry ranks 4th with marmite placed at 7th.

Food Hell Top 10

2.Fish

3.Brussels sprouts

4.Curry

Good Food’s Christine Hayes was quoted as saying “Curry has long been a key part of our national cuisine but as our survey reveals the love is not universal, in fact quite the opposite.  The spicy nature can put off Brits with more sensitive stomachs and we can exclusively reveal it divides opinion more than marmite.”
